Lembit Opik, Liberal Democrat Housing spokesperson, made a flying visit to Glenrothes today to support Harry Wills in the upcoming by-election. Lembit, who is a keen aviator, joined Harry at Fife Airport behind the wheel of a light aircraft.

Lembit said: "I'm delighted to join Harry in Glenrothes today and lend my support to his by-election campaign. Working with Ming Campbell and Willie Rennie in Westminster I know what a strong team they make, fighting up for Fife. Harry will make that team even stronger. He is on the right course and I wish him clear skies in the upcoming campaign."

Harry added: "The sky's the limit for the Liberal Democrats in Fife. We have got off to a flying start in this campaign with Nick Clegg being the first national party leader to visit the constituency and Tavish Scott campaigning every week since becoming leader in Scotland. While Labour dithers over when to call the election, the Liberal Democrats will continue to fight for the people of Fife."
